I removed it via right-clicking on the snipping tool in the start and pressing “uninstall”. I did uninstall the old deprecated snipping tool from windows 11. Turned out that the process ‘screen snipping’ was still running in the background.

I can’t get it to appear in my start menu when I’m typing its name, like I could before Windows 10. Try using the power shell method to install the snipping app.. I have also tried to remove the entry in Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Extensions\ContractId\windows.appExecutionAlias\PackageId. You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device. In Windows 10 you can press + PrtScn and it will save a screenshot of the whole desktop to disk.
